Beretta-Wilson Combat 92G Centurion Tactical

The success of the Beretta/Wilson Combat 92G Brigadier Tactical and the Beretta/Wilson Combat 92G Compact Carry led Wilson Combat and Beretta to introduce the Beretta/Wilson Combat 92G Centurion Tactical in November of 2017. Like some of the other Wilson Combat 92 series, the 92G Centurion Tactical is a limited edition offering from Beretta and Wilson Combat.

The 92G Centurion Tactical mates the popular Brigadier Tactical frame to a new shorter 4.25” Centurion slide. As Wilson Combat phased out production of the Compact Carry model, the new Centurion Tactical was designed by Wilson Combat to be an “everyday carry” self defense handgun. It’s worth noting that, although Beretta offers a 92 Centurion model, the Wilson Combat 92G Centurion Tactical is a different pistol.

For starters, the 92G Centurion Tactical is a G series model that features an ambidextrous decocker, which is different from the decocker/safety that is found on the standard 92 Centurion and the standard Beretta 92 models. When activated, the decocker lets you safely decock the hammer, but the hammer drops on a loaded round, and the trigger can be pulled again so it will fire into double action only model. On the standard Beretta Centurion, the decocker automatically decocks the hammer but puts the pistol on safe so it won’t fire until the safety is disengaged. This type of decocker is similar to those found on the Sig Sauer P series of handguns.

Other features that set the 92G Centurion Tactical apart from the standard Beretta Centurion:

  • A steel magazine guide rod that is integrated into the grip frame for easy and positive reloads
  • Wilson Combat Battle sights featuring a Ken Hackathorn designed AmeriGlo front sight
  • Stainless steel match grade barrel
  • Added integrated picatinny rail (like the ones found on the Beretta 92A1)
  • Beretta Elite II skeletonized hammer
  • An oversized magazine release (which is actually pretty sweet)

The 92G Centurion Tactical comes in 3 different trigger configurations:

  1. A stock 92G trigger
  2. With a Wilson Combat trigger job
  3. With a Wilson Combat trigger job with chrome-silicon springs

Currently the 92G Centurion Tactical is only available in 9mm, and can only be purchased through Wilson Combat. Like all the other Wilson Combat 92 series, each 92G Centurion Tactical pistol has a special Wilson Combat “WC” designated serial number. Each pistol comes with two 17 round magazines and one 20 rounder.

Here are some common questions that we’ve seen regarding Wilson Combat 92G Centurion Tactical holster:

#1 – Will the 92G Centurion model fit in a holster made for the standard Beretta 92 Centurion?

Unfortunately, it won’t as the original 92 Centurion doesn’t have a picatinny rail, but the 92G Centurion does. Plus the 92G Centurion has a more rounded trigger guard compared to the original 92 Centurion series.

#2 – I have a Wilson Combat 92G Centurion Tactical with a Streamlight TLR-8 mounted on it. Can you do a holster for it?

We can support holsters for the WC 92G Centurion Tactical with most of the more popular weapon light models mounted to the pistol, including the new Streamlight TLR-8.

#3 – Will the 92G Centurion model fit in a holster made for the larger 92G Brigadier Tactical model?

Technically, it will, but you’ll have some extra holster at the end as the Centurion is shorter than the Brigadier model.

#4 – Can you recommend an IWB holster for the 92G Centurion Tactical?

Although each of the IWB holster models listed here are also shown below, here are direct links to some IWB holsters that are available for the 92G Centurion Tactical:

MTR Custom Adversary IWB Holster

MTR Custom Tuckable Adversary IWB Holster

MTR Custom Slimline Tuckable IWB Holster

#5 - I actually have a Beretta/Wilson Combat 92G Brigadier Tactical model. Do you carry any holsters specifically made for that model?

Yes, and those holsters can be seen here: Wilson Combat 92G Brigadier Tactical holsters.

#6 - Will the 92G Centurion fit in a holster made for one of the Wilson Combat 92G Compact Carry models?

Unfortunately, it won't as the Compact Carry model does not have a picatinny rail, while the 92G Centurion model does. Plus, the 92G Centurion has slightly different dimensions compared to the 92G Compact Carry. If you happen to have a 92G Compact Carry and are looking for a holster made specifically for it, follow this link: Wilson Combat 92G Compact Carry holsters.

#6 – Even though you say that any holster listed below fits the Wilson Combat 92G Centurion, why isn’t there a 92G Centurion shown in any of the holsters on this page?

We try to photograph as many gun/holster combinations as possible, however we do not own every single handgun model on the market. As a result, we are not able to show every possible combination. The various weapons shown in the holsters below are for demonstration purposes only. The holster models listed on this page are made to fit the Wilson Combat 92G Centurion Tactical even though none are pictured in any of the holsters.

All the gun holsters shown on this page are made for as Wilson Combat 92G Centurion tactical holster models.
