    • Canik Mete MC9L

    The Canik Mete MC9L pistol was introduced in October of 2024 and was a higher-capacity variant of the original MC9 pistol. The MC9L offers increased magazine capacity and improved features over the standard MC9 handgun.

    The MC9L striker-fired pistol shares many features from the original MC9, along with a few enhancements,  including:

    • It comes optics ready and is compatible with most popular micro-optic models
    • Features improved beavertail for enhanced grip comfort
    • Interchangeable backstraps for customization
    • White dot front sight mated with a blacked-out rear sight
    • Integrated Picatinny rail for accessory mounting (lights or under barrel laser)
    • Features ambidextrous controls

    This MC9 variant is available in three different color options:

    • Black
    • Two-tone (Black slide mated to an FDE frame)
    • Flat Dark Earth (FDE)

    The MC9L features a 3.18 inch barrel, which is the same barrel length as the standard MC9. However, the L variant is wider than the standard MC9 model. The L variant is 1.14" wide, while the regular MC9 is 1.12" wide.

    The MC9L utilizes a 17-round magazine, whereas the standard MC9 has 12 and 15-round magazines.

    Holster Options for the MC9L

    The L version is still a micro-sized 9mm pistol that is ideal for CCW and concealed carry. Our most popular holster style for the MC9L is IWB holsters (inside the waistband). IWB holsters are designed for concealment as the bulk of the handgun rides hidden underneath the waistline.

    Other popular holster options for the MC9L include OWB holsters (also called belt holsters) and paddle holsters.

    Canik MC9L holster with a Red Dot

    As red dot optics are becoming increasingly popular on micro 9 pistols, you may have an interest in mounting a red dot on top of your MC9L, and will need to find a gun holster that can accommodate that pistol/optic configuration.

    Almost any of the leather holsters displayed below are available in a configuration to fit a Canik MC9L with a red dot or RMR optic mounted on top of the slide.

    Holsters to Fit a Canik MC9L with a Light

    There are times and situations where having a weapon light or tactical light mounted on an everyday carry pistol can be advantageous. If you decide to go that route, you'll need a holster that can fit your Mete MC9L with the specific weapon light model you choose.

    Most of the leather holster models shown below are available to fit a Mete MC9L with a light mounted. However, only the most popular light manufacturers are supported. Brands supported include:

    Here are some commonly asked questions involving holsters for the Canik MC9L:

    Will the MC9L fit into a holster made for the regular MC9?

    Unfortunately, the MC9L won't fit into a leather holster specifically molded for the standard MC9. While both pistols have the same barrel length, they are not the exact same length overall or the exact same width.

    Do you offer any holsters to fit a Mete MC9L with a light and red dot mounted?

    Yes, as long as the weapon light is a major brand that is supported. If the light is one that MTR supports, then any of the holsters listed below can be ordered in a version to fit that specific pistol with a light and red dot optic mounted.

    Can the Mete MC9L be carried in a front pocket with a pocket holster?

    It's certainly possible, but the answer will likely depend on the pants type and pockets' size. In our humble opinion, the Mete MC9L is on the large size for practical pocket carry, so we don't offer any pocket holsters for that specific pistol.
