Canik Mete MC9LS

Introduced in October of 2024 along with the Canik MC9L pistol, the MC9LS is another pistol model built off the success of the original Canik MC9 micro-compact pistol. The MC9LS model is also a high-capacity micro-compact handgun designed to compete with models like the Sig P365, Glock 43x, Springfield Hellcat, and S&W M&P Shield Plus.

The MC9LS features a longer barrel and slide than the standard MC9, offering better recoil management and a longer sight picture. Like most of the Mete MC9 models, the MC9LS is also optic-ready and works well with most of the popular micro red dot brands.

The grip on the MC9LS is longer than the grip on the MC9 and MC9L, as this pistol utilizes 17-round magazines for a 17+1 overall capacity. The extended grip may offer a better firing grip for shooters with larger hand sizes.

Even though this pistol is slightly longer than the original MC9 and MC9L models, the MC9LS is the same width (1.14”) as both smaller models. This narrow width makes the LS version a thin option for CCW.

Like all the pistols in the Mete MC9 family, the MC9LS is a striker-fired design without an external hammer.

FAQS

Here are some of the more common questions that we see regarding holsters for the Canik Mete MC9LS:

Will a Canik MC9LS fit into a holster made for the standard Canik MC9?

While the original MC9 and MC9LS are very similar, they have different dimensions. The LS version has a longer barrel than the standard MC9. Because of this difference in length, the LS version won’t fit into a gun holster made for the basic MC9.

The only caveat to that would be an open bottom style holster made for the MC9. The open bottom would potentially accommodate the longer MC9LS.

Will the MC9LS pistol fit a holster made for the Canik MC9L pistol?

Technically, an MC9LS pistol will fit into a holster made for the MC9L. The only difference between these two Canik pistols is the grip length, and the grip length doesn’t play a role in the holster fit.
