Don Hume DAH Small of the Back or Belt Holster
Although designed more for small of the back use, the DAH is a dual purpose holster that can be worn either as a small of the back holster or as a strong side belt holster. The DAH model name actaully stands for Dual Action Holster. Like all Don Hume products, the DAH is made in the USA and is designed to fit around 65 different pistols and revolvers. Available in black or saddle brown leather, this holster comes standard with a body shield, and the belt slots fit belts up to 1 3/4 inch.
The design is built so that in the SOB configuration, the draw is made with the palm of the drawing hand facing in. They don't make a configuration where the draw can be done palm out.
How to tell if they holster model you are interested in is in stock: On the dropdown menu out beside each holster, there will be a notification if the holster is in stock or out of stock. In stock holsters will be marked as "In Stock" and out of stock holsters will be marked as "Preorder: 30 to 90 day ETA".

#1 - It looks as though this holster can be worn both as an SOB model and as a strongside holster? Is that correct?
Yes, but it's designed as an SOB holster first and then could be worn as a belt holster as a second option. If you are shopping for a belt holster, then we have far better holster choices on the site that will perform much better than this model. If you are looking for an SOB holster, then this model might be a choice for you.
#2 - I'm confused about the information above about the palm in or palm out draw?
Small of the back holsters can be designed so they are either draw in the palm in or palm out position. Palm in refers to a position where you went to draw and your palm was turning in towards your back in order to grip and draw the weapon. In the palm out scenario, your palm would be facing away from your back in order to grip and draw the pistol. The DAH model is only designed for a palm in draw.

Second Holster from Don Hume
I purchased an IWB Don Hume holster last year and now have this SOB holster to add to my collection. My Glock 36 initially had some catching on the draw but after seating the gun in the holster with a plastic grocery bag to help expand the holster ever so slightly it now allows a nice draw without catching. Quality product from Don Hume and as always exceptional service form Gunner's Alley.

Appears to made of very good material and workman ship. Havent had a chance to wear it much. Trying to get it broke in so it gives me a release that is comfortable.

Sturdy Product
Because my belts are fairly wide and thick I had to nibble out the right-side belt slot of my right-hand-carry SOB holster so that I could wear it. I position it below my right kidney. It's comfortable, even while sitting, in most situations. It also hides very well. I'm pleased with the product.
