Product Description
Another variation of the popular H715M W/C IWB, this popular inside the waistband gun holster is made of lightweight leather and form molded to the individual weapon. The top opening of the holster is reinforced to aid in reholstering the weapon. Rather than use a "one-size fits all" approach, this holster is sized to fit the specific pistol it was intended to carry. For example, Don Hume produces separate skus of the H715M W/C holster for the Glock 17, Glock 19, and Glock 26 that are specific to the barrel of each pistol.
The H715M-TB is produced in the USA using 6-7 ounce premium leather, the highest quality nylon thread, and a strong metal clip. This model comes in either black or saddle brown leather but the clip only comes in a black oxide finish. The thumb break snap is reinforced as well.
The clip is designed to fit a gun belt up to 1 3/4" wide. The holster features double stitching, and a reinforced mouth for easier reholstering.
Designed for both revolvers and semi-automatics, this design works well strong side or behind the hip.
NOTE - For single action pistols (such as 1911 models), the thumb break is configured to only work with the weapon carried with the hammer cocked, in what's commonly called the cocked and locked (C&L) position. The thumb break won't work for single action pistols if the pistol is carried with the hammer down.
How to tell if they holster model you are interested in is in stock: On the dropdown menu out beside each holster, there will be a notification if the holster is in stock or out of stock. In stock holsters will be marked as "In Stock" and out of stock holsters will be marked as "Preorder: 30 to 90 day ETA".
Some commonly asked questions about the H715M TB model:
What does inside the waistband or IWB mean?
This holster is a dedicated inside the waistband holster meaning that is only designed to be worn tucked down into the inner waistband of the wearer. The holster rides down inside the waistline while the clip attaches to the belt on the outside of the waistband. NOTE - This model is NOT designed to be worn as a clip-on belt holster as it will not function in that manner.
Does this model come in a hammer down variation for 1911 weapons?
Not anymore. Now Don Hume only produces it in a cocked and locked version for any 1911 handgun.
I'm concerned about keeping my weapon secure. Do I need a thumb break model or can I just use a holster without a thumb break?
That's really a personal preference, but you can read a blog post that we did on that topic here.
Is this model holster offered without a thumb break?
Yes, it is. That model is called the H715M W/C and it can be seen by following this link.
Will this holster stay open after I've drawn the pistol?
This holster features a reinforced mouth which means that it has a band of leather around the mouth of the holster which is designed to help it stay open after the handgun is drawn.
Is this holster available in a version to fit a pistol with a weapon light mounted?
Unfortunately, Don Hume does not offer this holster model in a version to fit any handguns with a weapon mounted light attached.

Fits my Taurus PT111
I bought this holster to add another carry option. It is comfortable and is held firmly in place. The thumb break works great and I like the way it holds the firearm in place.

Hume 715-TB for PPS
fits my PPS 9mm perfect.. bought the Hume H715-TB as I often am in compromising positions, want no "dropouts" or "grab outs" by bad guys.. it holds gun secure under all conditions.. when drawing, my thumb naturally slides in position for quick release without any extra steps *(i have a H715, added a retainer strap & Sam Brown button.. the TB is much more efficient & worth the extra bucks).. i wear this IWB or OWB.. at 4 or 5.. easy to adjust for comfort or conceal... quality product, quick service (call me lucky, delivered in two weeks), a fair price... wonderful buy..

perfect fit - fast delivery
If you own a Beretta 9000/9000s you know that it was discontinued a while ago and that's it's hard to find good holster options. Well you have stumbled onto one here. It's high quality and an excellent fit. At first the thumb break was a little tight - I thought I was going to need to return it but after working with it the leather stretched to a perfect fit. I'm very happy with this holster. ALSO - even though it said "preorder - ETA 30 to 90 days" it was here in like 2 1/2 weeks.

Additional uses
I really like this Holster, it is very well constructed,is light in weight, and after placing a Glock 19 into it, it was a very secure fit. I also inserted a glock 26 into the holster and without any further adjustment other than a slight 1/3" pull up on the weapon to the security strap, the weapon fit like it was made for it. So, the Holster will fit a Glock 19, AND a Glock 26. I do think the holster would feel better against the body if the top edges of where the pistol is inserted were beveled to take any sharp edges from scraping the body when bending over at the waist. Go for it!, its worth the cost of $50.00. GB

Fits good on the Remington 1911 R1
The Remington 1911 R1 is a govt model (5" barrel) in 45 ACP. I got this holster because I carry in condition 1. I wanted a strap to go between the hammer and the frame. The holster has the thumb break attached to the strap. I don't think you can carry condition 3 with this holster due to the thumb break. However, why carry cond 3 anyway? I also wanted a holster that uses a metal clip for the belt. A few days after I got this, I noticed that there was some pealing of some type on the strap. This is why I gave it a 4star. Maybe it is a layer of some polish? I also like that the holster is not very wide along the barrel. In fact , it is quit narrow. I have others that are much wider. I am not talking about thickness. That's fine too.

Don Hume--Walther PPS Thumb Break Holster
I spent over one year searching for a quality molded leather holster for my Walther PPS. I finally settled on the Don Hume IWB with a thumb break. My Walther fit perfectly, though a little tight to start. After a few days with the Walther inserted, the holster began to mold around it. Now it draws smoothly. The leather, stitching and hardware seem sturdy and quality made. $38 for a custom molded quality holster is a pretty good deal.

Great holster
Don Hume makes the best holsters for the money. I was interested in the thumb break because, working outside, I appreciate the extra retention; it will require practice in order to get used to activating the thumb break under pressure.
