Product Description
The Don Hume H726 is very similar in design to the popular Don Hume H721 holster, except that the H726 is only produced to fit semi-automatic weapons. Designed for larger frame pistols, the H726 features a cutaway area in the front of the holster so the handgun doesn't have to be pulled completely out of the holster to begin the drawing process. The cutaway means that the weapon only has to be raised a few inches before the draw can be initiated. The H726 rides at a forward cant and features belt slots that will fit any any belt up to 1 3/4" wide. Like the related H721, the 726 uses a metal reinforced thumb break and double stitching. This holster model is only available in black leather.
For all single action weapons, this holster is designed so the thumb break works with cocked & locked carry (hammer back). This holster model is NOT available in a version for hammer down carry for a single action weapon.
How to tell if they holster model you are interested in is in stock: On the dropdown menu out beside each holster, there will be a notification if the holster is in stock or out of stock. In stock holsters will be marked as "In Stock" and out of stock holsters will be marked as "Preorder: 30 to 90 day ETA".
Some commonly asked questions about the H726 holster:
#1 - I saw that the H721 was made for my gun but the H726 isn't? Why is that?
The H726 is designed to fit only larger framed semi-automatic handguns so if your handgun isn't shown in the dropdown menu, Don Hume isn't currently producing the H726 for that gun model.
#2 - Is the forward cant a "15 degree" cant?
Don Hume doesn't use a formal degree cant on any of their holsters. We estimate that the cant is more like 10 degrees or so.
#3 - I have a Glock 19 that I carry with a light but don't see that this holster is made to fit any handguns with a mounted light or laser? Is that correct?
Yes, Don Hume doesn't produce the H726 for any handguns with a mounted light or laser. If that's something you need, we suggest you take a look at the MTR Custom line of holsters as they do offer holsters for certain handguns with mounted lasers or lights.
#4 - Can I order this model in brown?
No, the H726 is only produced in black leather.

Typical Hume quality

Great holster
Don Hume makes quality products. I am very pleased with this H726! It carries my FS 1911 close to the body and distributes the weight nicely. I was extremely happy with the cant I can draw from a seated position with my seat belt on. Got this holster as a gift to fit my Glock 23. Quality and workmanship is top notch, and is built to last! It'll take a while to get it broken in, but no biggy. Sits comfortable on the belt, tucks it to the body, and the cant allows for easy seated draw. Couldn't be happier!

Open Carry holster
This is an excellent holster for open carry. I live in Tx where this will become law on Jan 1 2016. Don Hume holsters are very comfortable to wear once broken in. Am sold on this H726.
