With the success of the Glock 43, light and laser manufacturers were quick to start working on various light and laser options for that handgun. Crimson Trace was the first brand to get a laser model created for the G43. This model, the Crimson Trace LG-443, was an under barrel laser model integrated into the front trigger guard area of the weapon.
This model uses a push activator button that it integrated in the grip area of the weapon so the laser can be activated as the pistol is gripped. This option seems more popular than the push button versions that require a button to be manually activated to turn the laser on and off.
Since this particular CT laser changes the dimensions of the pistol, it requires a holster made specifically to fit the G43 with the CT laser attached.
Here are some commonly asked questions that we see regarding the Glock 43 with the Crimson Trace LG-443 laser attached:
#1 – Sometimes I carry my G43 with the CT laser attached and then other times, I prefer to carry it without the laser. Is there a holster that works for both scenarios?
Not in our experience. When you remove the CT laser, then the G43 fits any holster made for the G43. When the laser is mounted, you’ll need a holster made specifically for the G43 carrying that specific laser model. Our experience has been that when you try to use a G43 without the laser attached in a holster made for the G43 with a laser, the fit isn’t very tight and the weapon tends to shift in the holster.
#2 – I see you mention the Crimson Trace LG-443 laser on this page, but I have the newer green version, the LG-443G. With a holster made for the LG-443 also fit a G43 carrying the LG-443G?
Unfortunately, it won’t because the dimensions on the LG-443G (green laser) version are different. The LG-443G is actually bigger than the standard red LG-443 model so it requires a holster made specifically for the G43 carrying the LG-443G.
#3 – I’m not seeing any Don Hume holsters made to fit the Glock 43 with any kind of laser? Am I missing them somewhere on your site?
At this time, Don Hume isn’t offering any holsters built to accommodate the G43 wearing the Crimson Trace LG-443 or LG-443G laser. Honestly, Don Hume offers very few holsters at all that fit any weapons with a laser or light attached.
All the gun holster models listed below are offered in a version to fit the Glock 43 with a Crimson Trace LG-443 red laser.
