Product Description
Gunner's Alley Gun Belts
Although it is often overlooked, the gun belt is a big part of the foundation needed to comfortably carry a holstered pistol. The Gunner's Alley gun belts are specifically designed to support the weight of a holstered handgun, spare magazine, flashlight, handcuff case, etc without sagging.
Materials
The Gunner's Alley gun belts are made of two layers of 6-7 oz. bull hide. Bull hide is denser, stronger, and more durable than cowhide. As a result, a bull hide gun belt is much less likely to stretch out over time like a comparable cowhide gun belt will. The belts are stitched with a commercial grade, heavy duty nylon thread designed to last. The buckles used are a high quality, low profile type designed to allow the buckled belt to lay as flat as possible. The buckles are available in either brass, nickel, or matte black. The buckles themselves are interchangeable, and attach to the belt via a set of chicago screws.
Craftsmanship
First and foremost, these belts are custom made by hand, one at a time. The outer layer of bull hide is submersion dyed (versus spray dyeing) for maximum color retention over time. The inner layer is left a natural bull hide color, to prevent any dye from potentially bleeding on to your clothes. All exposed belt edges are hand-slicked to a smooth finish, sealed, and then dyed black. The belt keepers (also called the tongue retention strap) are double stitched.
Turnaround Time
Most custom belt manufacturers take anywhere from 3-6 months to produce a gun belt of this quality. We can typically have one of our custom made gun belts completed to your specifications in about 60 days.

These belts can be made to fit a waist size from 29" all the way up to 70". Any size between 49" and 59" inches costs an extra $10.00., sizes over 60 inches cost and extra $20. If your waist size decreases, you can send the belt back to us to have it sized down for $20.00.
Sizing
IMPORTANT - As these are custom made on an as ordered basis, please take the time to size the belt in the manner specified below. DO NOT ORDER YOUR PANTS SIZE! Your current pant size is not an accurate measure of your waist, so please don't use that figure.
Sizing can be done in one of two ways:
- Measure a belt you have now from the FAR end of the buckle to the hole you use most often (to the nearest inch). This will PROBABLY be about two inches larger than your waist or pants size. That number is the size you need to order.
- If you don't have an existing belt to measure, use a cloth measuring tape. Run the tape through the belt loops on your pants, snug it up, and then round to the nearest inch.
- We size our belts from the outside edge of the buckle to the middle hole. For example, a size 38 belt will measure 38 inches from the outer edge of the buckle to the middle hole of the belt (as illustrated below).
Many of our customers use the same belt for IWB carry and every day wear, whether they are carrying a holstered pistol or not. If this is what you have in mind, and you carry IWB often enough, and if the measurement is significantly different (2 inches or more), you can order a belt IN BETWEEN the two measurements. If you carry IWB every day, measure with your IWB holster on. If you don't carry IWB at all, measure normally as described above. We also know many people (including ourselves) who simply let their belt out one notch when they carry IWB. We also know others that tighten their belt when they carry IWB - there is no right way, it is a personal choice.
Belt Return/Exchange Policy
This is a custom made product to your specifications, and as a result it is non-refundable. All Gunner's Alley belts are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ONE YEAR from purchase. (This does not cover abuse.) If you receive a belt with a defect in materials or workmanship, please contact us via phone or email immediately so we can take care of the issue for you.
Please measure carefully. This is a custom made belt to your specifications. If we send you the size belt you ordered and you receive a belt that is too short or too long, it can be exchanged for a new size for a re-stocking fee of $40. Again, please measure carefully and feel free to call us if you have any questions on how to measure, we will be glad to help you.
Belts ordered with an internal stiffener or a velcro liner option are not returnable or eligible for exchange. If you are interested in one of these options, please follow the measuring instructions above carefully to ensure you receive the correct size. We will be glad to help you, so please feel free to contact us via phone or email.
Pricing
1 1/4" - $69.00 - This width is an excellent choice to wear with a suit or dress slacks. The belt will provide enough stability to carry your weapon and other personal items (extra mag, cell phone, etc.).
1 1/2" - $79.00 - If there is a "standard" width for a gun belt, this is it. It provides excellent stability and support for a holstered firearm and all associated gear. It will also fit through the loops of jeans and most pants with no issues. It is the one we recommend the most.
1 3/4" - $89.00 - A good choice for carrying a really heavy handgun all the time, or if you are looking for a more "casual" look. This belt will work with most jeans, and many holsters feature 1 3/4" belt slots (but you may want to check your holster to be sure).

Best belts...period!
I bought a similar belt from Gunner's Alley about 4-5 years ago, best quality I had ever seen. Have worn the belt daily since then, only getting a new one because I finally lost some weight and needed a shorter one. Where would I go to get a replacement? A no brainer! Exceptional quality, fairly quick turnaround, good price, terrific fit, everything you would want in a belt. Thanks!

Gun Belt
I actually wear this belt all the time and don't necessarily wear my gun. I first bought one in brown and now with the addition of the black I am good to go. Great job.

First class, pro quality gun belt.
I recently purchased a new 1-1/4" Gunner's Alley gun belt in black to replace my original GA belt that was accidentally thrown away during a home cleaning/remodel. I had my previous belt for many years and wore it every day, even when not carrying a firearm. I tried replacing my original GA belt with a couple of heavier leather belts purchased at local sporting goods retailers, thinking I could get away with using a cheaper belt. Let me just say, you're NOT going to get the fit, comfort and quality materials out of a store bought belt that you will from a custom made belt that is purposely designed to be used for carrying a holstered handgun. When I do carry, I tote a S&W Model 642 in a Fist #20 IWB holster on my strong side hip. The GA belt keeps this rig snug, firmly in position, and is very comfortable. If you're planning to carry a gun much heavier than a .38 snub or sub-compact 9mm, I would highly recommend you go with a 1-1/2" belt over the 1-1/4" for the added stability. Good leather gear isn't cheap, but it's an investment that will pay dividends for years to come. A good gun belt can make all the difference in the world when it comes to safely and comfortably carrying a concealed handgun. Gunner's Alley makes the very best belts.
