When Kimber first introduced the K6s revolver series at the 2016 Shot show, it really caught the attention of wheelgun fans worldwide. The success of the original K6 2-inch version led Kimber to introduce a 3-inch version in 2017. Kimber management felt that the 3” version would appeal to shooters who wanted a slightly longer barrel in conjunction with a little bit more weight.

Like its smaller brother, the 3-inch K6 wheel gun also has the following features:
When it comes to revolvers, weight can be a double-edged sword as lighter weight usually equates to more significant recoil. Heavier weight typically means less felt recoil but can be detrimental for handling and carrying on one’s person.
All things considered, Kimber seems to have a done an excellent job from an engineering standpoint, as the general consensus among shooters is the felt recoil is relatively mild and manageable.
From a holster standpoint, IWB holsters and OWB holsters seem to be the most popular models for the K6s 3” revolver.
Unfortunately, at this time, we are only able to offer outside the waistband holsters for the 3 inch K6s, and the model that we carry are listed below. We do hope to expand this holster selection in the future.

Here are some of the more frequently asked questions that we’ve seen regarding Kimber K6S 3 inch holsters:
Any of the holsters that we have listed below are offered in a version to fit the DASA version of the 3” K6s. Except for holsters with a retention strap, most holsters made for the K6s will fit both the DASA models and the DAO models.
At this time, we do not have a holster brand currently making shoulder holsters for the 3” K6S, and we are not aware of any holster brands that are offering a shoulder holster for that specific revolver.
Currently, the holster models listed below are the only ones that we have available to fit this Kimber 3” revolver.
Not typically, but there are some exceptions to that rule. We have seen the following situations where a 3” model will fit into a holster made for a 2” K6s:

We’ve tried testing fitting a 3” K6s into a holster made for an SP-101 3 inch and didn’t really think that the fit was all that good. While those two revolvers models are close in size, they don’t appear to have the exact dimensions.
