MTR Custom Cross Draw Holster
There are certain situations where a cross draw holster may be the best option for carry, and MTR Custom has designed their Cross Draw holster to fulfill that need.
A major challenge in designing an effective cross draw holster focuses on the draw angle. Make the angle too shallow on the belt and gun will barely stay in. Make the cant angle too deep the other way and the handgun becomes more difficult to draw. After testing a series of angles, coupled with user feedback, MTR has come up with what they feel is the “optimal” draw angle for a cross draw rig.
This model offers a body shield to help protect the user from the sharper edges of the weapon along with a reinforced holster mouth for easy one handed reholstering.
The holster mounts to the belt using 2 belt slots designed for a belt up to 1 ¾” wide and features a belt channel for added stability. The MTR Cross Draw is manufactured from top grade 6 to 7 ounce bull hide leather with all the materials coming from the USA. The finishing touch on this model is a boned in finish to ensure a secure and snug fit for the weapon.
Often cross draw holster are often called driving holsters as they are very popular in situations where a significant amount of time is spent behind the wheel of a vehicle. If you are in the market for a high quality cross draw holster, have a look at the MTR model.
Some frequently asked questions about this holster model:
#1 - Do you what angle this holster rides at?
To be honest, I don't as I don't think MTR ever specifically identified a numerical angle (like the 15 degree forward cant) for this holster. I think they based the angle on testing, customer feedback, and 3rd party evaluations. The end result may not have a specific angle (or negative angle) associated with it, but it works extremely well just the same.
#2 - Will MTR do any other belt loop sizes other than 1 3/4"? I really prefer mine to be 1.5"?
Understood, but not at this time. It could be a possiblity later on.
#3 - It looks as though this holster is "boned"? is that right?
Yes, most all the MTR models have a certain degree of boning. If you aren't familiar, the term "boning" refers to the process of using a tool to outline specific parts of the pistol into the leather. It gets it's name as early holster makers used tools made out of bone to make these impressions in the leather. It does seem to make for a better overall fit as compared to a non-boned model.

MTR Custom Cross Draw
Beretta FS92 Brigadier, a model very difficult to find a holster for because of the larger slide. Order this holster in cross draw and the fit is perfect. If you need a holster for the Beretta FS 92 Brigadier Gunners Alley is the place!

Crossover Holster for LCRX3
I am enjoying my crossover holster for my Ruger LCRX 3. I have practiced at the range and experienced how the holster holds the revolver safely and protectively. The revolver fits very comfortably and eases in out with no problems. I would recommend this holster and this company to all my gun totin' friends. Thank you for producing such a great product.

Worth the little wait time
I love this holster. Probably my favorite mtr holster i have purchased. I know its a crossdraw but i wear it on my hip strong side because it rides high on the belt and more easily to conceal in my own opinion . I do however wear it crossdraw style sometimes but i really like it on my strong side. This is a well made holster and fits my sig Sauer p320 subcompact perfectly and keeps it snug and secure while in the holster. The delivery time was right at 3 weeks which for a custom made holster is acceptable. I may just have to buy another crossdraw for some of my other handguns. Highly recommended holster for those looking and thinking about purchasing. I do also recommend a very sturdy belt as its just as important!

Best cross-draw that I've seen!
This is a very well built holster! Very sturdy leather and stitching! I have a new right shoulder and a strong side holster is very difficult to draw the gun from as my reach is limited, This cross-draw is the way to go! Rides high and close to my side and easily holds and conceals even my Springfield XD! Works even better with my Glock 43! I'll be ordering another soon!

Best quality on the market!
The holster I received is the 5 one I purchased for my Kimber Solo CDP. It is by far the best quality and design of the lot! I would certainly recommend you buy the same one if you are in the market for a great cross draw holster at a decent price. Fit and weapon access is outstanding during driving.

Great, great Holster
I have purchased many holsters over the years, this is one of the better ones. Just received mine for Glock 30s, fit is perfect and carries at an angle making it concealable with easy access. Plus for a custom holster the wait time was a mere three weeks.
