    MTR Custom Dual Carry Holster

    Traditionally, most gun holster models are designed to be worn one particular way or style, and that’s about it. In the past, we’ve seen holster models that were advertised as being able to be carried or used in more than one style (like a holster that works as both a SOB and as a strongside belt holster). In most cases, those holsters don’t perform equally well in the different styles. For example, most IWB holsters don’t work all that well being worn outside the waistband or vice-versa.

    However, our opinion changed when we tested out the MTR Custom Dual Carry holster. This model basically took the popular IWB style of the MTR Slimline Tuckable holster and made a few changes so the holster can be worn either OWB or IWB. While this is really nothing new in this industry, the difference here is the Dual Carry actually works pretty well in both scenarios.

    Like most of the MTR line, the Dual Carry is also crafted from top quality bullhide leather and top of the line American made hardware. The holster features a reinforced mouth for easy reholstering, and the belt slots are designed to fit a belt up to 1.75" wide.

    Converting the Dual Carry from IWB to OWB is pretty simply. Just unscrew the attachments holding the metal clips on, and it’s ready to go as an outside the waistband holster. As an added bonus, in the IWB mode, this model can worn either untucked or with the shirt tucked in over it (called tuckable carry).

    The Dual Carry is ideal for customers who want the ability to carry both IWB or OWB, but don’t want to buy 2 different holsters to do it.

      one gun two holsters

      I purchased this holster to carry my Browning Hi Power. I love the option of being either to wear it inside or on my belt. Once I broke it in it holds the weapon securely. I added a thumb break for the added security and while this added to the overall expense. This holster is well worth the expense. I have used the holster both as IWB and as a OWB and both ways it was a very comfortable holster. I highly recommend this holster. The service and communication from Gunner's Alley was excellent I was informed of every step. If I need another holster I will look at this holster and Gunner's Alley again.

      Review of the MTR Custom Dual Carry Holster

      I got this holster to carry my Taurus M66 7 shot 357 mag revolver. This is an excellent holster. It distributes the weight of the revolver very well, holds securely, and is very easy to re-holster. I highly recommend this holster. I wanted this design in leather instead of the half kydex shell. I will definitely order another MTR holster again, and the service from Gunner's Alley was excellent! Thank you

      Two guns 2 MTR holsters

      I have multiple holsters for each of my guns and was looking for a leather holster for a inside the waste model that was quick to bring the CCW weapon into action reliably. The MTR leather accomplishes the mission with good looks to boot. Being a custom leather product there is a break end period which with dry silicon and many presentations the product exceeds exceptions. I have one more pistol to fit with MTR's leather and my CCW battery will be complete. Thanks for the Quality.

      When I ordered this I thought because of the price it might not be the best of the best. I'm very very pleased with the fit and comfort! The pistol locks in very securely with a positive and crisp "click", does not fall out even if shaken while inverted, carries the pistol just the right height to ensure a positive grip when drawing, and wears very comfortably IWB. I have not tested it OWB yet, but see no reason why it would not perform equally well. The stitching is not as fancy or meticulously detailed as far more expensive holsters. Nonetheless, it is well made and high quality leather with a perfect fit.
