MTR Custom Deluxe Full Size Quick Snap Holster
When MTR Custom introduced the Full Size Quick Snap holster, it was quite a success. However, a number of customers kept asking if that model could be done with a forward cant instead of a 0 or no cant style. MTR opted to take some of this feedback to heart and introduced the MTR Custom Deluxe Full Size Quick Snap holster.
So how does the new Deluxe model differ from the original Quick Snap model:
#1 - The Deluxe version comes in a 15 degree forward cant.
#2 - The Deluxe model uses two (2) snaps on the belt loops versus just the 1 found on the original Quick Snap.
#3 - MTR wanted the "Deluxe" name to really equal a more deluxe style holster, so the Deluxe version features more detailed boning in the finish.
For the most part, everything else on the Deluxe version is also found on the standard Quick Snap. The snaps on the Deluxe version are also designed to fit any belt up to 1 3/4" wide.
The MTR Custom Deluxe Full Size Quick Snap Holster is an good option for those for want the easy on/easy off capability coupled with a forward riding cant. The Deluxe model is also available with various exotic skins (Black Tigershark, black Elehpant, Gray Elephant) for trim, or they can be used for the full holster.
Some commonly asked questions about this holster model:
#1 - I'm not sure what you mean about a 15 degree forward cant? Can you provide a little more clarification?
Sure. The "cant" refers to the ride angle on the belt. This angle is typically either straight up and down (commonly called 0 cant, straight up cant) or a forward cant. The desired cant is really a matter of personal preference.
#2 - I'm interested in the sharkskin as a trim, but I'm not sure what trim means?
A picture is worth 1000 words so this should help. This is a black leather model with the black tigershark trim.
#3 - In the description above you mentioned something called "boning" what is that?
Boning refers to a process where specific details of the pistol are molded into the leather of the holster. Although it's more done for aesthetic (looks) reasons, a "boned" holster looks nicer and tends to fit a little better compared to a non-boned model.
#4 - I'm interested in this holster, but I prefer a straight up and down ride versus the forward cant on this one. Do you offer this model in a vertical cant version?
Yes, we do and it can be seen here: MTR Custom Vertical Deluxe Full-Size Quick Snap Holster.

MTR Custom Deluxe Quick Snap
Superb! Hugs in tight, fits the gun just right, smooth draw but with enough bite to make the gun secure. Old school leather craftsmanship! Looks great, feels great, rock solid and will probably outlive me. Don't hesitate to order one. Love mine so much, I just ordered a matching gun belt.

Emergency retention test went well
The first time I used this holster after receiving it was yesterday. I followed the break in procedure a couple of days ago and wore it out on a motorcycle ride/poker run yesterday. I hit some loose gravel on a curve at 45 mph and went down. I tumbled several times, slid quite a way and rolled through some dirt and grass. When I got up my weapon was still securely in place! it never moved and when I took it out of the holster it came out just as expected. It has no retention strap it just held the weapon in place purely by a perfect fit. Great holster and great fit. Thanks MTR

Outstanding Holster
This is the third holster of this style made by MTR I have bought. I have one for a Glock 43, a Glock 48 and had one for a S&W Shield .45 (sold with the gun). I had a similar holster from another manufacturer for a S&W Shield 9mm. The MTR version is much better. These are well made, and though they are not cheap, are not really that expensive. They look very nice. The thing I like best about this style is the ability to put on and take off withou having to thread through belt loops. It goes on and comes off easily in seconds yet is quite secure. it hold the gun close to the body. I wear at 3:30-4:00. I also wear it with the MTR belt and it too works great. Highly recommended..

I have three
I have three of these for each of my pistols. They are comfortable to carry. MTR does good work working with the weapons mounted lights. Drawing is easy. It is easy to attach and remove from your belt.

Much better than Kydex
Love the draw angle. Conditioned with E-Z-Draw and a 1 Qt. bag for a few days and now the weapon presents very well! Fit is excellent for this difficult profile (RX and Suppressor height sites). Leather quality is outstanding. Belt Snaps are quick and much preferred over time consuming belt threading w Kydez rig.

MTR and P227 SAS2B 45ACP
This holster is my first try with MTR and an OWB snap on belt loop design. The pistol to holster fit is perfection, the materials and construction seem equal to other leather holsters I own. (Time will tell the whole story). The holster rides high on my hip, the way I prefer my OWB holsters to fit. I won't hesitate to order another MTR holster from Gunners Alley.

MTR Custom Deluxe Full Size Holster just the ticket
My Sig P-227 fits nicely into the MTR Custom Deluxe and carrying it is very comfortable. I found this holster on a YouTube review. Finding the right holster for Sig P-227 ain't easy but you can't go wrong with this one. Thanx, MTR and thanx Gunnersalley. Mark Shane Walden, NY
